Wants of the Heart

The historical romance, "Wants of the Heart" was actually the first book I started writing about six years ago. Ironically, Josephine (Josie) Hamilton's story will end up being my last.

Josie's father decides the town optometrist is the most suitable man in town for her. Oliver has a little chat with Wendall, and he agrees to marry Josie.

Josie shares a similar trait to me when I was younger. She's a tomboy. She can't for the life of her figure out why Wendall would want to marry a woman he barely knows. They've only spoken a few words to each other whenever Oliver invited him over for dinner. Wendall doesn't have anything in common with her. She loves to ride horses and shoot guns.

What Josie doesn't realize is she is quite a beauty. Several men have taken notice of how attractive she is, including the handsome stranger who stumbles onto her father's property with a head injury. Once he remembers how he ended up in his condition, a U.S. Marshal comes to town. Lee is an old friend of Josie's, who used to trade her kisses for shooting lessons.
