My love for writing and my vivid imagination first surfaced in elementary school through poems and short stories.  One of those stories happened to be about a serial killer, but a handsome detective saves the day and his girlfriend from being the final victim.  Love and romance prevailed.  

 

Somehow, I always ended up on the journalism staff, even in elementary school.  I turned in poems for extra credit, even though I didn't need it.  A few of them were published by a high school teacher.  

 

When I didn't have a pen to paper, I was busy reading whatever I could get my hands on.  My recently departed aunt started giving me romance novels when I turned thirteen.  I read hundreds and maybe even thousands of them.  

 

Thrillers and romance seemed to have always be my favorite genres, and I've managed to intertwine the two in my books.  My tag is "romance with added intrigue and suspense."  

 

Love and murder seem to go hand in hand in my stories as well as in real life.  Jealousy is most often the driving force.  My family has suffered through two murders for this very reason, and I often draw from my real life emotions when creating scenes for my characters. 

 

After covering both the historical and contemporary romance genres in three different series, my next endeavor will be a book of short stories about the paranormal, including a witch hunter, a ghost and an alien.
